Virtual Assistant Teacher & Minecraft Gaming Club Host

Riley’s Learning Academy (Sykeke, LLC) is looking for a fun, enthusiastic Virtual Assistant Teacher and Gaming Club Host to help support our Minecraft gaming club classes! We are a private virtual education business specializing in kindergarten through second-grade education, along with gaming clubs for children ages 4–15.
This role is ideal for a college student looking to earn extra money from the comfort of a virtual workspace while gaining valuable experience in education, instruction, and working with children!
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Strong knowledge of Minecraft: Java Edition, Zoom, and Discord.
- Willingness to learn basic Minecraft server commands.
- Must have a reliable computer, stable internet connection, working microphone, and a quiet, private workspace free from background noise and disruptions. Other individuals are strictly prohibited from appearing on camera, speaking with students, or otherwise participating during class sessions.
- Must have and maintain an individual teacher account on Outschool, including annual background checks, and have strong knowledge of Outschool policies and guidelines or a willingness to learn and follow them.
- Able to follow class rules, learner-safety procedures, and instructions from the lead teacher.
- Comfortable communicating with and supporting children ages 4–15.
- Must have a computer capable of running Google Chrome, Minecraft: Java Edition, Zoom, and Discord simultaneously.
- Must possess strong multitasking skills, as the employee may need to monitor Zoom, Discord, Minecraft, and student activity at the same time.
- Must be dependable, punctual, patient, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in elementary education or a related field is a bonus but not required.
- Previous experience working with Minecraft: Java Edition servers, including BungeeCord, Spigot, or Paper.
- Knowledge of basic Minecraft server commands, such as
/teleport,/tpohere,/send, and/msg. - Two to three years of experience working with children ages 4–15.
- Previous experience in education, tutoring, childcare, virtual instruction, gaming clubs, or youth programs.

Anticipated Start Date
September 14, 2026, with paid training during the first two weeks.
Pay
$20.00 per hour.
Weekly Schedule
- Tuesday: 4:15–6:15 PM Pacific Time
- Wednesday: 4:15–6:15 PM Pacific Time
- Thursday: 2:15–4:15 PM Pacific Time
- Friday: 4:15–6:15 PM Pacific Time
Position Details
This position requires the use of Discord and Zoom. Employees will join a private Discord channel with the lead teacher approximately 10–20 minutes before each scheduled Outschool class to review session plans, discuss responsibilities, and prepare for students to arrive.
The assistant teacher will assist the lead teacher with monitoring students, answering questions, providing technical support, reinforcing class expectations, and helping maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming virtual environment.
